This past weekend, I journeyed to Oakland Mills, PA to LCRC, the host of the upcoming ROAR Off-Road Fuel Nationals. The event drew racers from all over the country in preparation for the quickly approaching Nationals. The schedule for the three day event included practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday (3 rounds of rocket round qualifying), and mains on Sunday. Ryan Maifield, Jason Ruona, and Billy Easton were all in attendance for this event.
In the 1/8 Buggy class, Ryan Maifield would end up taking the TQ with Billy Easton in second and XRAY teammate Jerome Treignier in third. I would qualifying safely into the A-Main in the 7th position. The A-Main event was originally going to be 45 minutes long, but because of rapidly approaching rain, it was shorten to 30 minutes. At the beginning of the main, Maifield and Easton jumped out to a commanding lead and never looked back. However, 3rd through 8th would stay close together for the first few laps. By the first fuel stop, everyone was evenly spaced and I would find myself running comfortably in the 6th position. I continued to run clean laps and would eventually catch up and pass the 5th place car which is where I would remain for the majority of the race. |

| In the 1/8 Truck class, Ryan Maifield would TQ the class with XRAY teammate Jerome Treignier qualifying 3rd and myself in 5th. Also joining me in the A-Main was Team XRAY driver Eric Schoen who was able to bump from the B-Main. The top 5 cars would remain in qualifying order for the majority of the race and would eventually finish that way with Eric Schoen coming from the back to finish in 6th. |

| In the E-Scale class, I would qualify second just behind Anthony Mazzara. At the beginning of the 10 main A-Main, we quickly got away from the rest of the field and I would remain very close to Anthony in 2nd place. At about the half way mark, I was able to take over the lead and never look back. I crossed the line just before the end of the race which allowed me to finish on my own lap. I ran the XB9 arms, shocks, and shock towers on my 808e and was very pleased with how it performed. |
